Gucci сreative director Alessandro Michele promised to unite men and women clothing line and not to do anymore separate men’s show. However, the designer does not keep his word and on the eve of his first Men’s Cruise Collection show he presented an impressive lookbook.
This lookbook consists of 87 pictures taken by British photographer Nick Waplington at Hilles House – the British aristocratic countryseat, where models posed among arts, antiquities and fairy tale gardens.
The collection is a combination of prim classic and modern brave prints, which have discouraged by their audacity: tweedy overcoats, traditional gentleman’s tailoring, college-wear pieces, uniform stripes, military braiding, chewed-up denim, Michele’s signature embroideries, exotic snakes and tigers.
The designer was so inspired of the English aesthetics that the fashion show, which will take place on June 2, he decided to hold at Westminster Abbey. And we are confident for some reason in the success of this event.
