Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing released his collaboration with NikeLab.
After his successful collection for H&M, Olivier Rousteing gained a reputation “everything he touches turns to gold”. That’s why it is not surprising that Nike invited designer to team up for creating something special.
His glamorous collection, which designer presented yesterday in a promotional video on Nike’s site, includes men’s and women’s track pants, tops and jackets — all done up in shades of black and gray accented with gold zippers, trims, and Nike swishes. Also there are four shoe styles, one of them is black and gold pair that extends up the ankle for a “sock-like fit”.
The collection was inspired by the Balmain creative director’s childhood love for European football and the lives of the professional players who will be participating in Europe’s biggest championship this summer. So, the face of the collection became the football star Cristiano Ronaldo.
NikeLab x Olivier Rousteing launches on 2 June 2016, from $80 to $500.
